My Rabbit Thinks I'm Feet

|
My rabbit never looks me in the eye. Feffen's taken to going onto the back porch with me. She's been nibbling fallen birch leaves this fall. I always have to step-herd her back into the house. Once she even hopped off the small back porch, and I had to chase her back from the yard. Herding rabbits has a lot in common with herding cats. If you are sitting at her couch, she thinks you are hands because she bounds up and expects to have her cheeks and brow rubbed. She'll lick groom you in return, but if you neglect your petting for too long you'll get a light warning scrape from the lapine front teeth. My bunny thinks I'm the foot that herds and the hand that feeds and pets.
